Monarch School Project
In 2023, SDWF awarded a $25,000 grant to Monarch School Project as part of its focus on early childhood education. This funding supports weekly music classes that promote early literacy, social-emotional development, and consistent routines, helping improve kindergarten readiness for children in under-resourced communities.
Coastal Roots Farm
In 2022, SDWF awarded a $50,000 grant to Coastal Roots Farm as part of its focus on addressing food insecurity in San Diego County. This funding supports equitable access to fresh, healthy food and inclusive programs that foster connection to the land, food, and one another.
