SUMMARY:SDWF Site Visit Training (Members Only)
DESCRIPTION:SDWF members are needed to help with the next stage in our grants selection process – site visits! \nSite visits provide an opportunity for members to get to know applicant organizations on a deeper level and will help us determine which organizations will appear on our final ballot. This year\, site visits will take place from April 12-April 27 and may be virtual or in-person depending on comfort levels of applicant organizations. We anticipate the majority will be in-person. \nAll volunteers must attend this mandatory training where SDWF members Stephanie Sontag and Ginny Nelson will provide guidance on how to conduct effective site visits. \nSite visit times will be pre-arranged with grant applicants\, and members will be assigned to small teams to conduct site visits. Member assignments will be determined by the Site Visit Preference Form\, so please be sure to submit your availability by 4/6! \n**If you are unable to attend the live virtual training but would still like to participate in site visits\, a recording will be offered. DESCRIPTION:cSDWF is partnering with Coastal Roots Farm for an afternoon of wine and snacks and a tour of the farm. Attendees will learn about sustainable agriculture\, food justice\, and the impact of their organization\’s work combating food insecurity. \nCoastal Roots Farm is a nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center where they practice organic farming\, share their harvest with those who lack access\, deliver unique farm-based education\, and foster inclusive spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together to celebrate Jewish life and catalyze a healthier\, more vibrant community and a more sustainable future for the region.
