Food insecurity has long been an issue in our community – recent data shows that as many as 1 in 3 San Diegans lack access to adequate food. This year, in our 22nd grants cycle, the San Diego Women’s Foundation will fund solutions to this critical issue.
Join us on Wednesday, October 6th, to learn more about this issue from San Diego City Councilmember representing District 9, Sean Elo-Rivera. Previously a Director at City Heights nonprofit Mid-City CAN and current board member of multiple nonprofit organizations, Councilmember Elo-Rivera has led community organizing, policy, and civic engagement efforts to combat food insecurity and other barriers to ensure equity, opportunity, and wellbeing for all San Diegans.
