An unequal distribution of educational opportunities, financial and educational resources, and digital assets has created a widening gap in educational outcomes for under-resourced populations, and the COVID pandemic has exacerbated learning loss in these communities.

In June 2023, SDWF will award unrestricted funding to nonprofit organizations working to combat learning loss and educational disparities for children aged 0-8 in San Diego County.

Join us on Wednesday, October 26th, to learn more about this issue from the San Diego Foundation’s Director of Community Impact, Katie Rast and First 5 San Diego’s Executive Director, Alethea Arguilez.
