June is Pride Month and we’re proud to feature The San Diego LGBT Community Center (The Center), recipient of funds in our Cycle 17 grants supporting homeless youth and Cycle 20 grants supporting refugees, asylees and asylum seekers, at our next Community Partner Connection event on June 30th.

In 2017, we awarded funds to The Center to support their Sunburst Youth Housing Project, a unique affordable housing project providing supportive housing for youth between 18-24 years of age, with a special focus on LGBTQ+ and HIV+ youth.

Attendees will hear from The Center’s Director of Housing and Youth Homeless Services Victor Esquivel (he/him) and Youth Services Manager Yey Morales (they/them) about the Sunburst Youth Housing Project and efforts to support at-risk and homeless LGBTQ+ and HIV positive youth.
